Men’s Health Week is taking place from June 9th to 15th, and this year, the Men’s Health Forum is calling for a men’s (and women’s) health strategy for the NHS. To show our support for this wonderful cause, we’re highlighting some famous faces in the UK who are supporting men’s health. If you’re looking for a celebrity ambassador for your cause, we can help.

Nile Rodgers & Prostate Cancer UK

Born Nile Gregory Rodgers Jr, the iconic guitarist, songwriter, and record producer co-founded Chic and is a three-time Grammy winner.

Rodgers was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010 and was given the all-clear in 2013. Knowing that Black men are more at risk of prostate cancer, with one in four Black men in the UK being affected by the disease, he partnered with Prostate Cancer UK on their ‘Men, we are with you’ 2019 campaign.

Laura Whitmore & Movember

Laura Whitmore is a presenter, DJ, model, and actress, most well-known for her stint presenting Love Island.

In 2023, Whitmore and her husband Ian Stirling teamed up with Movember for their 20th Anniversary celebration. But that wasn’t the first time Whitmore championed men’s health, she was also the female spokesperson for Aussie’s #MissTache campaign.

Romesh Ranganathan & Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)

Romesh Ranganathan is an award-winning comedian and actor, best known for his appearances on Taskmaster, The Weakest Link and A League of Their Own.

In 2023 Ranganathan joined CALM as a Patron, having been an ambassador for the charity for many years. He’s openly spoken about his own experiences with mental health, becoming a CALM Patron because he doesn’t want anyone to struggle alone like he did.

Andy Ryan & Orchid Male Cancer Charity

Andy Ryan, who shot to fame after competing in series 15 of The Great British Bake Off, has joined Orchid Male Cancer Charity’s campaign to raise awareness of prostate cancer.

Ryan lost both his grandfather and uncle to the disease and is sharing his family’s story to help break the silence around men’s health.

Paddy Pimblett & James’ Place

Paddy Pimblett is an English professional mixed martial artist, currently ranked 8th in the world on the UFC lightweight rankings.

Pimblett is a long-term supporter of the men’s mental health charity, James’ Place. After a friend died by suicide in 2022, Pimblett said the free therapy he received from the charity saved his life.
